Effect of adding squid meal as an attractant to freshwater eel (Anguilla marmorata) feed on elver growth, feed palatability, efficiency and conversion

Abstract Squid meal can serve as an attractant to increase feed palatability and fish growth. The purpose of this study was determine the optimum dose squid in freshwater eel ( Anguilla marmorata ) elver based on This research conducted from December 2020 February 2021 at Water Quality Aquatic Biology Laboratory, Tadulako University, Palu, Indonesia. completely randomized design (CRD) comprised four treatments with five replicates. Commercial used doses: 0% (A); 1% (B); 3% (C); 5% (D). Variables were (speed finding consuming feed, morning afternoon), growth (net weight gain; net length), efficiency, conversion ratio (FCR), survival rate (SR). FCR did not vary significantly between treatments. best results obtained under treatment C a uniformly high (feed speeds 0.12 s/cm 0.06 afternoon; 100% feeding response); gain 3.50 g; length 4 cm; efficiency 89.9%; SR 85.56%. It concluded that is for enriching attractant.
